At least one name you won’t have to change is the one on your notary public commission; Texas law does not require you to change your name on your commission. change-of-name-texas If you do decide to change your name, you will need to mail in your old commission and cannot complete any notarial acts until you have received your new one. If you are bonded through Notary Public Underwriters Agency of Texas and would like to change your name on your notary commission, please contact our Customer Care Rep today to receive the proper notary forms.
